JP Morgan Chase hosts a Christmas Party for the children of the Horizon Club
Since the launch of our Horizon Club last September, children aged 6 to 13 from disadvantaged households have been learning English in an engaging manner through sports. play, the arts, dance and drama with our volunteers from all walks of life, many of whom are native English speakers. English classes are held daily at the St. Jude’s Parish in North Point.
On 1 December, our corporate partner JP Morgan Chase, brought joy and love to 23 children and their parents by hosting a Christmas party at their offices in Central. JP Morgan Chase Volunteer Team Leader, Xavier Keung, and his colleagues spent almost a month in planning the Party. Their efforts paid off handsomely because the children enjoyed every minute! There were fun games, delicious party food and to top it all, a special appearance by Santa Claus who not only had a gift for every child, but also made it a point to spend some quality time with each one .
Marina Coghill, Horizon Club Project Leader, said, “I am so grateful for JP Morgan Chase and their staff for hosting such a lovely party for our children. it was a truly wonderful event and I know that they will remember the evening fondly. Many of these children are living with limited resources so to have a visit from Father Christmas, enjoy excellent games and yummy Christmas treats was a special event for them. It was especially sweet to see our Children and the children of the staff playing together and taking part in the fun games.”
Marina also said, “I also want to thanks Jean Sung from JP Morgan who has been supporting our Projects since 2018. Their love and care for these children can transform lives and make positive impact to these children.”
