Volunteers and elderly friends get ready for Olympic Games

Olympic Games 2024 is fast approaching. To help our Seniors to get ready for the world’s greatest sporting event, our Project Leaders of Flying Seniors, Ambrose Ng and Teresa Lo, invited the students from Raimondi College, to join a fun Sport Day with the elderly guests at the Western District Elderly Center on July 6, 2024. Two teachers of the School led a team of 7 students to teach and assist the elderly friends to play a new sport, Mölkky.

Teresa prepared some quizes about Olympic Games for the elderly friends and students to learn about the facts of Olympic Games. After some easy warm-up exercises, everyone entered into a battle mode for the competition. The elderly friends were divided into 4 groups and played against each other by achieving the maximum point of 50 at the quickest time.

Hailey, one of the students, said, “I really enjoyed the afternoon with the elderly friends who were so active and smart. I learnt so much from them.”
