Inclusive dance and movement class with the Lok Yi Students

17/08/2021

Last Saturday morning 14 July was a highlight for Lok Yi students Pak Hey, Chu Yin and Siu Sum and Kim -the much anticipated 3 hour inclusive dance and movement class !  Together with its staff Rick and HKAOM volunteers Grace Lu and Esmeralda Moreno, the boys joined 30 dancers of all ages and abilities at the Ko Shan Theatre.    Dance teachers Mr. Danny Pin and Ms. Wong led the group in sharing a common identity of « dancer », without prejudice or stereotype.  For the next 3 hours, they focused on emotional well-being and inner harmony.  Grouped in pairs, everyone collaborated in exploring positive emotions through their senses and body movements.   As the morning progressed and the group moved closer to achieving a mind-body balance,  self-consciousness melted away with  each dancer feeling increasingly  confident and empowered.

What a special morning of self-discovery and holistic healing for all!
