A fun day for young people with disabilities
Sophie Mensdorff, the No Limits Social Club Project Leader, organised a joyous full day Christmas celebration for our young guests with disabilities at the Hong Kong Country Club. On hand to join the fun were our dedicated volunteers who are instrumental to the success of all our events. We are grateful to the Hong Kong Country Club for once again, generously offering us the use of their facilities and lovely lawn. The sixteen volunteers and our 14 guests kicked off in the morning with must-have Croquet, fun bowling and a variety of table games, all played with much enthusiasm.
After a small rest break in a private room, volunteer Tasha hosted a very exciting game of Bingo. The great prizes at stake only heightened the anticipation as each number was called out. Bingo was a clear morning favourite.
Everyone settled down enough to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, while volunteer Titus led everyone in singing some high-spirited Christmas songs. The highlight was Santa Claus‘ surprise appearance, laden with a sackful of presents, in the midst of the carolling. There seemed no end to the fun.
Our guest Jimmy Yeung, said, “Thank you so much for this opportunity. I’m so happy,”
A parent, Mrs Esther Chan, said, “Jessica was supper excited and happy today! It was a great party and lots of fun. Thank you to all organizers and volunteers for another memorable Christmas Party.”
