Celebrating the end of school term 2019
To celebrate the end of school term, Caritas Lok Yi School organised a celebration gathering on July 10, 2019 for volunteers and students. Many of the students were excited to see our volunteers who have been visiting them regularly. The evening was a happy gathering of families and friendships that have developed over two years. Students prepared a gift for our volunteers to express their appreciation. They spent about two months to decorate some beautiful tote bags. Every tote bag presented had a unique drawing.
Branda Pang, one of the volunteers, said, “I was so touched to receive the bag from the students. They are so professionally done and reflect so much love in each of those drawings.”
Besides reviewing the past activities in a video, the teachers also identified some students who had made significant progress in learning and school’s activities. The students particularly enjoyed the games that played together with the volunteers. The special evening was full of fond memories to all of us
