A Stunning Exhibition of Marvin Chan’s Work
One of our talented and amazing guests, Marvin Chan, invited the volunteers of the Order of Malta Hong Kong to attend his personal work’s exhibition on October 2. Marvin joined our Asia Pacific Youth Camp in 2019 since then he had continued to join our activities until his health became deteriorated. Despite his disabilities, he is very proud of his past achievements as a graphic designer. His parents also have chosen the Order of Malta Hong Kong as the beneficiaries of the proceeds of the exhibition.
Our Hospitaller and Project Leader of No Limits Social Club, Sophie Mensdorff-Pouilly, led a team of volunteers to join the exhibition. She also presented to Marvin some special souvenirs, including a collection of stamps produced by the Order of Malta Magisterial Post Office that was sent all the way from the Order’s Headquarters in Rome for this special occasion. As well as a group photo of Marvin with other guests and volunteers at the Adventure Ship, one of activities organized at the Camp.
Sophie said, “It was a very touching moment to present the souvenirs in person to Marvin. We could see how happy he was when he saw the photo of the Youth Camp that we have prepared for him with our photo frame. Marvin loves water activity. He even has two of his swimming photos from the Camp kept in his Collection Book. I am so proud of his courage and passion!”
