Pope Francis – a beloved Pope of the People

It is with deep sadness that the Order of Malta Hong Kong joins the global community in mourning the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis on Easter Monday 21 April 2025.

A beloved Pope of the people, His Holiness left us after long years of tireless service to the Church and to mankind. His dedication to the forgotten and his unceasing appeal for mercy were a beacon of light in a world too often cast in darkness.

We pray that his messsge of charity, unity and brotherhood will not be forgotten.
