Heartwarming Birthday Celebration for Students with Special Educational Needs
On a joyful occasion, 13 dedicated volunteers from the Hong Kong Association of the Order of Malta visited Caritas Lok Yi School to celebrate the birthdays of 17 wonderful students whose special days fell in January and April.
The evening began with lively ice-breaking games that helped everyone warm up and get to know one another. The volunteers then introduced the birthday celebrants—highlighting the girls and boys born in January and April—amid smiles and excited applause.
Next, the volunteers guided the students in designing personalized birthday cards. The most beautiful and creative designs were proudly displayed on the school’s Birthday Board, adding a colorful touch of pride and accomplishment.
The highlight came when the volunteers presented thoughtful birthday gifts to each student, followed by the traditional cake-cutting ceremony. As the candles glowed and everyone sang “Happy Birthday,” the room filled with laughter, cheers, and genuine happiness.
The entire evening overflowed with warmth, joy, and meaningful connection, leaving both students and volunteers with cherished memories and bright smiles.
This thoughtful initiative beautifully demonstrates the spirit of care, inclusion, and community support for students with special educational needs.
