Each spring, over 5,000 members, volunteers and pilgrims from all over the world gather over a long weekend in Lourdes for the privilege of serving the sick and the elderly known as the “malades”. Irrespective of race and background, people gather in an atmosphere of peace and deep spirituality. For many, the Lourdes pilgrimage is a lesson in humanity and a transformational experience.
