Cooking Competition for Students with Special Needs

On October 15, Project Leader Florence Wan together with eight volunteers assisted students from Caritas Lok Li Schoolto participate a Cooking Competition. The event was a fun way to introduce the concept of healthy eating.
The MC of the event first introduced the rule for making a Yogurt Cup and the ingredients: various type of fruit jam, seasoned fruits and chocolate. The students and volunteers were assigned into three groups. Each group will make a maximum of 5 cups and then select the best one to present for the judge to make comment. Volunteers and the students from each also come up to describe the concept of the final product to the judge. The School Warden, Ms Rachel Chow, was the judge of the Competition and presented three prizes: the Most Delicious, the Most Presentable and the Most Creative Award.
Following the prize ceremony, students eagerly enjoyed their yogurt cups, with many savoring the treat as a delightful new experience. Volunteers also found joy in the dessert-making process, making the event a rewarding collaboration for all involved.
